✦Documented Narrative Involvement
Healer Maeve's involvement came purely by chance. Formerly a student under the Second Order's Senior Healer Jolen, Maeve was assigned instead to Senior Healer Reynold's rotation where she, by chance, ended up being attached to the Second Order while they were stationed within the tower, guarding Luka. No known records exist of why Maeve was sent to work beneath Reynold instead of remaining with Jolen.
Garrick reports more than once highlight Maeve's skills as an empathetic and competent healer. It is stated her confidence and inability to be easily discouraged earned her the position of Luka's head physician. Many other sources indicate the same. Her competency earned her a place among the Second Order Knights and Garrick's trusted inner circle.
Maeve took detailed and extensive notes on Luka's recovery process during the months he spent in isolation below the tower. Behavioral anecdotes also accompany these, though they are by far quite subjective and opinionated.
There was an incident mentioned in the reports during which her career became precarious due to a documented disregard for orders. The incident resulted in less than favorable circumstances during her continued residence within the Second Knight Order Tower. Her personnel records also note a tendency towards difficult working with peers when disagreements arose. Addendums indicate this did not impede the choice to her assignment.
Maeve continues her role as medical advisor with the Voss Estate.
✦Addendum - After careful consideration, I have kept Maeve's records of this time period and may include them in the Archives if time permits regardless of the subjectivity. They may prove an excellent counter-argument and cross-referencing tool in current political debates...or excellent entertainment.

✦ Physical Appearance
Small and slight, Maeve carries the kind of wiry energy that makes people forget she's not as fragile as she looks. She is rather pale, no matter her hours spend beneath the sun. She blames this on spending too many hours indoors. Dark brown hair falls annoyingly straight no matter what she does with it and is so thin it often escapes her ties. Her ears have a slightly faint point to the tip of her ears that earned her more childhood teasing than she would care to admit.
✦Addendum - I have been asked about possible lineage. I have no specific answers for Maeve. There are some resemblances to the elves in the remaining pockets of civilization they maintain. Yet, there are so few, I find it difficult to understand why even a mixed-blooded child would be abandoned.
✦ Temperament & Disposition
Maeve possesses an energetic, passionate presence, full of heart. Her personnel records contain numerous incidents in which passion overrode common sense. She has on record exhibited more than one concerning disciplinary infraction. The list would indicate a recurrent habit. Senior Healer's Reynold and Jolen have had to warn her against speaking out of turn. However, there are just as many, if not more, addendums and asides by her seniors that speak on her behalf for her defense and care of her patients.

Confidence, assertiveness, and healer's empathy; if there is something she believes is worth time and effort, she will pursue it. She is quick to read pain, fear, and unspoken needs, especially but not exclusively with those she sympathizes with.

Compassion and self-sacrifice; she learned from a young age that usefulness equaled value. It scares her to not be useful.

✦Addendum - Out of concern, I investigated the Creationist Church branch here in Adern. It does not seem to be a malicious entity. Interviews with the staff and the other orphans now grown gave high praise if not a little regret over how little the church could provide.
Father Baines' interview revealed Maeve to be a precocious child but increasingly fearful of never being chosen like the other children. She remained obstinate in her efforts to be useful, believing it the only way to be adopted.

Luka -
Her ward and responsibility; their relationship is one of trust and has grown slowly into mutual affection. Maeve both longs for and fears the day he becomes independent of her as she will no longer have a purpose.
Garrick Voss -
Her commander, mentor, employer, and quiet guardian; she respects him deeply and irritates him just as often.
Amelia Voss -
An unexpected ally and fierce supporter; their relationship was uncertain at first given certain rumors circulating around the tower and some healer's circles, but Maeve has learned Amelia has no interest in rumors and the two have become quite the team.
Bran Halek -
The man who makes her flustered, hopeful, and deeply unsure of how to breathe; she finds him loyal, gentle, and sweet, if not a little overprotective.
Oliver Wynn -
Former antagonist turned trusted colleague; she has forgiven his transgressions in the spreading of those rumors, although she still finds him somewhat slimy and jealous. She does trust his competence as a healer.
Senoir Healer Jolen -
Former mentor; she misses working under him sometimes.
Senior Healer Reynold -
Former teacher, current mentor; she wants nothing more than to make him proud. She once respected his ability to put the patient before personal feelings, but she now understands that war and loss can change even the most passionate of altruistic people. She is one of the few who knows the truth of his and Knight Commander Hawthorne's true relationship.
Gregor -
The one who quietly keeps her alive by reminding her to eat, rest, or breathe; a dependable grounding presence.
Riven Hawthorne -
